NYYC RACE WEEK at NEWPORT

HANDICAP and ONE-DESIGN REGATTA
This regatta will be the latter half of NYYC Race Week at Newport presented by Rolex.  Classics, S&S, 12 Metres, Shields and Herreshoff "S" Class yachts will compete on the first weekend and can find information and forms specific to that segment on the Classics Weekend website.
PARTICIPATING CLASSES
IRC - Race Week is part of the Gulf Stream Series
PHRF - Rating up to 135 (must have PHRF NB rating)
One-DesignOne-design championships that will be part of Race Week include:
  •    NYYC Swan 42 North American Championship
       Melges 32 National Championship
       J/109 North American Championship
       J/105 East Coast Championship
       J/122 East Coast Championship
       Beneteau First 36.7 Northeast Championship
Entry is open to yachts with a minimum LOA of 25 feet in IRC, PHRF, or One-Design classes. One-design classes and handicap classes will be permitted to enter with a minimum of eight entries or at the discretion of the Organizing Authority.
 

SOCIAL EVENTS

 

ID Bracelet - Each skipper and crew member in the Handicap and One-Design Series of Race Week will receive a Race Week ID bracelet that will be issued at regatta check-in up to the number per boat as stated in the Notice of Race.  The ID bracelet provides access to the Race Week daily parties and trophy presentations from July 23-27, as well as a $30 reduction in the cost of the Regatta Dinner.  Additioal ID bracelets can be purchased with a yacht's entry for $40 (21 or over) or $25 (under 21).  A limited supply of ID bracelets may be available for purchase at the regatta desk for $50 (21 or over) or $35 (under 21).

  

Race Week Regatta Dinner and Dance (Saturday, July 26) - ID bracelet holders can purchase tickets to the dinner party on Saturday, July 26 at a reduced price of $35. Guest tickets for those without an ID Bracelet will be available for $65 on a limited basis.  Dinner tickets can be purchased either on the yacht's entry form or using the Dinner Tickets Reservations form in the column to the right. (featuring the RAVERS)

Friday, July 25 1100 Handicap and One-Design Series racing
1800-2000 Daily Awards and evening party
Saturday, July 26 1100 Handicap and One-Design Series racing
1800-2200 Daily Awards and Regatta Dinner Party
Sunday, July 27 1100 Handicap and One-Design Series racing
1700-1900 Final Awards and reception
     
No Warning Signal shall be made after 1500 on Sunday, July 27.
