She wrote then in the Club's magazine (Fall 2001), "The wooden hull, that I have rowed around, swam around, polished, painted and thought I knew, performs this magic act of taming the big seas with an assurance that could only come from long experience at sea. Not my experience, because I have never seen such big seas!"
