or the NYYC Race Week at Newport racing will be conducted on Rhode Island Sound and Naragansett Bay. There will be up to three racing circles for handicap and one design portions of the week.

The Classic Yachts will only race Saturday and Sunday, July 17-18, 2004.

Shoreside activities will be hosted at the New York Yacht Club's Harbour Court.  Please fill out your social registraion form for the Saturday evening dinners at $35/person which includes live music and special drink prices for Heineken and Mt. Gay Rum.

Crew dinners in the informal dining room are welcomed for all evenings except Saturday, July 17 and 24.  If you have 8 or more people you may call 401-846-1000 ext 111 for a reservation.  Credit cards are accepted.

July 16

Handicap and Classics Registration, crew weigh-in (1200 - 1800), Captains meeting and cocktail party

July 17

Racing, Crew weigh in (0800-1000), Daily awards and A Night in Jamaica with live music from Stryker's Posse while a buffet Dinner is served.  A cash bar with $2 Heineken specials will be available after racing.

July 18

Racing, Daily awards, and Regatta cocktails to follow on the lower lawn after sailing.  Cash bar. 

July 19

Racing, Daily awards and Regatta Cocktails to follow on the lower lawn after sailing.  Cash bar. 

July 20

Racing, Handicap Awards and Regatta Cocktails on the lower lawn after sailing.  Cash bar.

July 21

Distance Race, followed by Awards and a Regatta Party on the lower lawn after sailing.  Cash bar.

July 22

One Design Registration, measurement and weigh-in (1200-1800)as required by class rules in the Carriage House of Harbour Court.  Captains Meeting followed by cocktails with cash bar.

July 23

Crew Weigh in (0800-1000) Racing, Daily awards followed by a Regatta Cocktails on the lower lawn after racing.  Cash bar.

July 24

Racing, Daily awards followed by a Regatta Cocktails and A Barbados Night Dinner with live music from Accent band on the lower lawn.  Cash bar with Mt Gay $3 specials.

July 25

Racing, One Design Awards, followed by a Regatta Party on the lower lawn.
