John "Hap" Fauth, left, is presented the Mosbacher Trophy by NYYC Commodore Robert C. Towse Jr. at the Annual Awards Dinner at the NYYC on November 10, 2011. The award is given to the NYYC Yachtsman of the Year. Fauth's Belle Mente won the "Barn Door Trophy" in the 2011 Transpac given to the first yacht to finish the 2,250-nm race from Los Angeles to Honolulu.

Commodore Towse presents the Herreshoff Medal to Apparition, skippered by Ken Colburn. Colburn, left, won the Swan 42 class in the NYYC Annual Regatta presented by Rolex and the Swan 42 Nationals. He finished second in the NYYC Invitational Cup presented by Rolex.

The NYYC Invitational Cup was won by the Royal Canadian Yacht Club of Toronto. Several members of the winning team graciously attended the Annual Awards Dinner: L-R, Allan Megarry, Karen McKay Brookman, John Hele, the owner of Daring -- the NYYC Swan 42 that won the event -- and Andrew and Melissa McTavish.
