On Saturday, June 26th members will be crossing Long Island Sound from all directions by power and sail for the first Rendezvous of the summer to be held at the Seawanhaka Corinthian Yacht Club on Center Island in Oyster Bay to enjoy the “Commodore’s Salty Dog BBQ” and an evening of good company. Members coming by automobile are also welcome for what Seawanhaka calls their “upscale outdoor barbeque” featuring marinated sirloin steak, BBQ chicken, Memphis ribs, teriyaki glazed ahi tuna, bratwurst, hot dogs and hamburgers plus all the trimmings and a self-service ice cream station.
This will be very much a family affair and guests are welcome. Dress is yachting attire. Cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres will precede the BBQ and, as was the case when we rendezvoused at Seawanhaka three years ago, there is sure to be much revelry throughout the evening.
