Departing from Sampson Cay on Saturday, March 28th, Morgan Hudson and the Cruising Committee will lead a one week cruise to explore some of the 360 islands and cays that compose the Exuma District of the Bahamas. This is a popular area for yachting, sailing, diving and exploring coral reefs and caves. The Cruise-in-Company will move northward from Sampson Cay to end in Highbourne Cay where a farewell dinner is planned for Thursday, April 2nd (the week before Easter). Considerable background information on the Exumas can be found on the internet. Full details, including information on charters from Nassau, will be included in the next issue of the newsletter.
Interested members can sign-up in advance by calling Daniela Burton in the Sailing Office at (401) 845-9633 or e-mailing sailingoffice@nyyc.org.
