2009

The Cruising Committee presents another exciting year of organized cruising activities ranging from informal rendezvous to cruises-in-company to member expeditions.  

2009-2011 CRUISING CALENDAR

Rendezvous

Informal gatherings in beautiful settings where members can come together by yacht and sometimes auto to enjoy the company, cocktails and a great meal.  Some locations also offer a unique opportunity for a tour or cultural activity during the day. 

Cruises-in-Company  

The more formalized Cruise-in-Company is a longstanding Club tradition that offers the opportunity to bring members together formally and informally roaming the oceans of the world in the company of members' yachts or charter yachts.  In 2009, Cruises-in-Company are planned in the Bahamas (Exumas) in March/April, San Juan Islands in August/September and Chesapeake Bay in October.

Expeditions

The first expedition to Greenland in the summer of 2007 was a stunning success.  The Antarctica expedition had an incredible trip south in February 2008.  The trip to the Galapagos Islands will be April-May 2009.  Future expeditions are planned to Alaska in 2010 and the Amazon River in 2011.
